Remembering someone, whenever they lived
Remembering is not only for someone who has recently gone. A grandparent whose photographs keep surfacing years later deserves a place too. So does a great grandmother you never met but grew up hearing about.
It is never too late
Old memories are not lost, only scattered. A shoebox of prints in the attic, a story an aunt tells every Christmas, a name written on the back of a photo in someone else's house. Bringing them into one place is worth doing at any time, not just in the first year.
For the ones we never met
Some of the people who shaped us lived before we did. Gathering what remains of them, the photos, the stories, the small facts, is a way of meeting them at last, and of passing them on to the people who come next.
